RESRAD BIOTA Screening Process
Main RESRAD-BIOTA input screen.
The only option is to view default parameters for the two default organisms (terrestrial animal and terrestrial plant for a terrestrial system; aquatic animal and riparian animal for an aquatic system). The example shows input parameters for a Level 1 terrestrial screening. Contaminants can be selected and measured concentrations in sediment, water, and soil can be input. In the example, a measured soil concentration is input for each of the selected contaminants (Cs-137 is shown).
Screening results showing the ratio of the contaminant concentrations to Biota Concentration Guides (BCGs).
The sum of the ratios is less than one indicating that no negative impact on terrestrial biota is expected.
